Supervision is where the work gets examined — not just what happened in the room, but what it stirred in you, what it means, and what you’re carrying forward.

I offer counselling supervision for qualified and trainee practitioners working across a broad range of presenting issues, with particular depth in areas that require specialist awareness: sexuality, gender identity, kink and BDSM, non-traditional relationships, and the complexities of grief and loss.

What I Bring

I am a BACP Registered Member with an MSc Distinction in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Level 7, Distinction). The University of Staffordshire Psychology Department awarded me the prize for Highest Postgraduate Achievement in November 2025 for research into kink-aware therapy.

I am an LGBT Champion with lived experience of the communities I work with. I don’t just understand the landscape your clients inhabit — I know it from the inside. That makes a difference, both to the quality of supervision and to what you can bring into the room without explanation or justification.

I am a kink-aware practitioner with direct experience of BDSM and kink communities, and with the particular clinical and ethical questions that arise when working in this space. I understand what your clients may not be saying, and I understand what that costs them.

This is not generic supervision. I bring my full self to this work.

Who I Supervise

The BACP requires all practising counsellors and psychotherapists to engage in regular supervision as a condition of membership — a minimum of one and a half hours per month for full-time practitioners, pro rata for those working part-time. Whether you are newly qualified and establishing your practice, or an experienced practitioner fulfilling your ongoing professional requirement, I offer supervision that goes beyond compliance and becomes a genuine space for reflection and growth.

I can provide supervision for:

• Practitioners navigating complex ethical or boundary questions
• Qualified counsellors and psychotherapists seeking regular ongoing supervision
• Trainee counsellors requiring placement supervision
• Practitioners working with LGBTQ+, trans, kink-aware or polyamorous clients
• Those wanting specialist reflective space for work with sexuality, identity, or relational diversity

I also offer mentoring for students undertaking heuristic inquiry as part of their research. Heuristic inquiry is an intensely personal methodology, and the process of staying close to your own lived experience while maintaining rigour can be disorienting. I bring both familiarity with the method and the kind of reflective space that this work demands.

How We Work

Supervision sessions are available face-to-face in Bollington, near Macclesfield, or online and by phone for practitioners anywhere in the UK or Europe.

Sessions are 90 minutes, typically monthly, though fortnightly arrangements can be agreed where the work requires it.

An initial consultation is available free of charge, so we can establish whether we’re a good fit before committing.

Fees

Supervision sessions: £70 per 90-minute session

Trainee supervision rates available on request.
